Diana is a balanced, monster hunter legend legend featuring the Bow and Blasters as her weapons. She can be unlocked for 5400 gold. A fighter of the supernatural, she wears a burgundy riding coat over a dark gray waistcoat and a frilled shirt, with a very narrow women's tricorne hat atop her black curly hair. Diana's life hunting monsters has taken her from the darkest caves in the mortal world to the fiery pits of the underworld, until she was offered a place in Valhalla's eternal tournament. She wields a versatile combination of raw fighting ability, and tightly designed custom gadgetry to dominate her foes.

Ruthlessly hunting monsters with elite training, awesome exotic weapons, and a sly smirk. - Mallhalla purchase description

The Monster Hunter

Our father, who reign eternal in crimson slumber. Please deliver us from Diana. She killed Cytorax and Bob last week, and I think she's back because the building is on fire. - From a hasty prayer by Alan, priest of Belzar

For a thousand years, the Order of the Exalted Lion has defended mundane society from the supernatural with a trademark combination of elite training and exotic weaponry.

As the commander of the Order's hunters, Diana drove Europe's vampire population into exile and eliminated the self-appointed Unseelie Diplomat. She slew the Mad King of Batavia, then slew the Vampire Mad King of Batavia, then finally slew the Ghost Vampire Mad King of Batavia. She is the national hero of Batavia.

But when she uncovered corruption in the Order itself, Diana fell into a trap. Breaking into the chambers of the Supreme Patriarch, Diana was seized by dark magic that drove her into a deathlike sleep. She fought for moments of wakefulness - catching a glimpse of the Order's subbasements, of a winding forest of thorns, and finally of an expanse of darkness filled with screams.

Diana awoke on the shores of Nastrond, a land deep within Helheim. The endless dead sensed the unfamiliar warmth of mortality and swarmed to consume it. And so she fought. She held the damned at bay for eleven days before the Goddess Hel herself found her and ejected the troublemaker. A Valkyrie found Diana lost between worlds, and offered her a place in Valhalla.

In Valhalla, Diana is a ruthless combatant and a force for justice. But she seethes that monsters like Azoth and Mordex are allowed in the warrior's heaven, and plots their destruction.

I need a dozen quicksilver bombs, five quarters of holy water, two hundred silver bullets. And one stake if you've got it. - Diana to Octavius, Quartermaster of the Order

A fighter of the supernatural, she wears a burgundy riding coat over a dark gray collared waistcoat and a frilled shirt showing underneath it. The waistcoat is cinched with a large-buckled belt, and she wears buckled cavalier boots over gray socks pulled up high over burgundy breeches. To complete her outfit, she wears a very narrow women's tricorne with a silver button pin and a matt silver ball pendant around her neck. Under her hat shows short black hair that is largely cut very close to the head, aside from two curls of hair that frame either side of her face.

Signature Attacks

Input Description Animation Damage Stun Frame Data Notes
Neutral A short, leaping dive accompanied by a twirling, hooking motion with the bow. If she catches and stuns a target with this motion, Diana quickly notches a quicksilver-bomb-tipped arrow and fires it point-blank into the target's body, knocking them down and forwards. 28.8 - 35.0 in 14 hits This move has a deceptively long hitbox on the twirling bow. Gravity canceling this attack off the side of the stage will allow Diana to hit enemies relatively far from the edge.

Diana delivers a twirling waltz of pummelling with her bow as she steps forward and strikes at an enemy in front of her in two dancing motions. Carries Diana forward a significant distance. 34.9 - 41.3 in 2 hits This move functions similarly to Teros’ axe side signature, though faster and slightly less powerful. Like Teros’ attack, Diana's twirling renders the hitbox tall and difficult to dodge directly. However, its range relative to Diana's body is short, so be wary of being out-ranged by savvy opponents. Amusingly, this attack can carry her safely across mines if spaced correctly.
Diana delivers a short, twirling upwards gut-stab with the top end of the bow while standing in place. If the attack hits, Diana quickly follows it by shooting the victim point-blank with a grappling arrow and hurling the foe downwards behind her with tremendous force. 21.8 - 26.3 in 3 hits This move is rather short-ranged, and has long windows on startup and a long cooldown window if missed, making it a difficult attack to use safely. The rewards for hitting it, however, are commensurate.

Input Description Animation Damage Stun Frame Data Notes
Neutral Diana throws a bladed quicksilver bomb high into the air and shoots it with one of her pistols after the trap stabilizes enough to hover for a split-second. The resulting explosion knocks any victims up and away from her. 29.3 - 33.8 An effective anti-air countermeasure. The attack doesn't charge until the grenade is already out, so the move is easy to predict for you and the foe at the same time. It has a very high angle and tends to launch struck targets upwards, making it a somewhat reliable means of following an up-recovery blaster string if you can GC.

Diana quickly dives forward and unleashes a barrage of rapid gunshots at the end of her dive, hitting everything in a low arc ahead of her with small explosions of quicksilver. 25.4-25.7 (depending where in the hitbox it hits) - 31.3 in 1 hit A "reach out and touch someone" move, this attack will close long distances instantly. Still, the move's hitbox is narrow enough and recovery time is long enough – so be aware of the attack’s exact range so that you don't miss.
Diana hides her rear blaster behind her back and fires two short-ranged quicksilver blasts from her front gun in an slow succession - first low, then high. If she manages to strike and stun anyone with either of these blasts, the huntress releases a grappling shot into the enemy from the rear blaster, hooking the target to hurl them down and behind her. 27.1 32.5 in 5 hits The attack has a long hit window, but tends to be obvious and predictable. It makes up for this by being both powerful and disorienting, often capable of knocking out targets at orange health without extra effort. Bear in mind that the follow-up grappling shot will only choose one target within a stack, decided generally by whom the hook hits first, so keep in mind that the move may sometimes grab an unintended target in a close pitched melee, even if your intended target was the one to be hit by the blaster shots.

Name Inputs What it's useful for Damage Stun Other notes Example video(s)
Bow SLight, DLight, NHeavy 54.84 No
Blasters NLight, NHeavy 46.89 No If you end up hitting your opponent with the end of the NLight's hitbox, then the NHeavy may not hit.

  • Diana's default weapons are the Mastercraft Recurve (bow) and the Wheel Locks (blasters).
  • Diana's bot name is DIANDROID.
  • Posted on 3/30/16, Diana's bio is the first to directly announce a then upcoming and existant Legend, Mordex.
  • Diana was introduced to Brawlhalla March 30, 2016.
  • It is potentially questionable as to whether Diana has truly died - while the circumstances that put her in Nastrond could easily mean that when she was defeated by the Patriarch, she was taken into the woods and killed, but her unusual mortality in a land of the dead leaves room for doubt.

Build Changes
3.14.0 We have adjusted the force on Signatures that significantly provide positional advantage by swapping player’s relative locations, primarily those that can be used to easily reverse edgeguard scenarios or when cornered near the edge of a platform. Several of these have had power shifted into other areas of their kit in compensation if the adjustment to their reward was found to offset the Legend’s total power too greatly.
 • Diana Down Bow: Decreased Force from 85 Fixed/45 Variable to 80 Fixed/42 Variable; Increased Damage from 21 to 24.
 • Diana Down Blasters: Decrease Force from 70 Fixed/48 Variable to 70 Fixed/43 Variable.

Build Changes
2.77.0 The following Signatures have all received adjustments to their speed bonuses gained when performed from a dash or chase dodge. They have been brought in line with other comparable Signature attacks:
 • Diana Down Blasters
 • Diana Side Bow
2.52.0 Increased travel speed to push the effective threat farther forward and make the Signature harder to outrun.
 • Diana Side Blasters – Increased travel speed before the first hit.
2.50.0 Diana’s Side Blasters does have a bit more range than other Blasters attacks, however the risk and reward were out of line given the attack’s considerable dead-zone and moderate startup. We have increased the Damage reward and slightly lowered the risk to be in line with other similar powers.
 • Diana Side Blasters: Increased Damage from 25 to 27; Decreased Recovery from 6 Fixed to 5 Fixed.
2.41.0 Diana’s Neutral Bow launches opponent’s at a fantastic angle for setting up edgeguards. We have Decreased the Variable Force to be in line with the positional advantage.
 • Diana Neutral Bow: Decreased Variable Force from 51 to 48.
2.39.0 Diana’s Neutral Bow has a fairly long Time to Hit, so we are speeding this one up as well for use against flighty opponents.
 • Diana Neutral Bow: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 7 to 5.
2.18.0 Diana’s Down Blasters and Down Bow are a little too strong for their utility. We’ve decreased the Variable Force some to bring these powers in line. In exchange, we’ve sped up the Time to Hit of Neutral Bow for increased reliability as an anti-air.
 • Diana Down Blasters: Decreased Variable Force from 53 to 48.
 • Diana Down Bow: Decreased Variable Force from 48 to 45.
 • Diana Neutral Bow: Decreased Minimum Charge from 8 to 7.
• Diana Down Bow: Fixed some cases where targets could be hit away from Diana and still affected by the grab behaviors.
• Diana Down Blasters: Diana’s tether shot now functions as part of the grab. Should prevent some drops and other unintended behaviors. (Credit Juvar23, Master-Silver-Elite)
2.14.0 • Diana’s bot name has been changed from “Diborg” to “Diandroid” (credit: Dobrein).
2.13.1 Diana's Down Bow seems awfully fast at first, but spends a few frames at a very small hitbox size before starting to bloom to its full threat.
 • Diana Down Bow: Decreased Time to Hit from 14 to 13.
2.11.0 • Diana The Hunter has entered Brawlhalla!
