Jhala is a powerful but low defense legend who uses the Axe and Sword as her weapons. She can be unlocked for 5400 gold. Jhala, coming from a powerful barbarian tribe on Earth, wears rough, studded-leather armour trimmed by white fur, and burnt red tattoos across her dark skin. Growing up in one of the world's most deadly environments, Jhala spent her early life learning that power means survival, and then taught that lesson to monsters, vampires and evildoers alike. Her strength and rage are as much a deadly force of nature as her birthplace, and she continues to show this in the field of battle in the eternal tournament, defeating for after foe.

Ogedai's epic 'One Thousand Tales of Jhala Unbroken.' is the greatest literature to emerge from the Era of Trouble. Whether any real barbarian queen existed as the root these outlandish tales, we may never know. - Aristophan's 'History of the Troubled Age'
Life was tough for the hardy villagers of the Ikrusk. They survived freezing winters in the shadow of Mt Tragedy by huddling around pools of the hellfire that rained eternally from its peak. A good summer was when the scorpion swarms thinned out the vampires. By day they would tend livestock, and by night they would drive back the haunted suits of armor that fell from the sky. Hardship made them tough, and most potential enemies were awed enough to leave them alone.
Not so The Lord of Scales. Riding the Dragon of Conflagration, he burned the village to the ground and then some. Young Jhala survived only because she was safely suspended in midair, climbing the dragon's bulk with axe and knife. In the sky over her burning town, Jhala cast down the Lord of Scales and seized control of the Dragon. However, it was too late for her home. Astride the great wyrm, Jhala set off.
Thus began the greatest adventure epic of the age. Jhala stole the Scepter of Invincibility from the (formerly) Invincible King. She bested the Orc Warlord in single combat, earning the (purely honorary) title "Friend". She won the city of Dragonport in a drinking contest with the pirate queen. Apollo himself gave Jhala the title "Exalted Lion" after she led the armies of all Thera to victory against Ehzot, the Zombie Lord.
Jhala takes the glamor of Valhalla in stride, thinking at any moment she could be back to roast scorpion and improbably violent precipitation. But in the meantime this is fun too.
Don't write that down. No one would believe it. - Jhala, to her sidekick Ogedai after slaying the Winter Ogre with a 'Beware of Ogre' sign
Jhala, coming from a powerful barbarian tribe on Earth, wears rough, studded-leather armour across her body that reveals her upper arms, upper legs and hands, all of which is trimmed by white fur. Her dark skin is marked by a number of burnt red tattoos, and her dark braided hair is tied in a short, high tail above the head. Two side bangs are left hanging either side of her face, looped through two bronze rings each. She has large iron earrings in each ear, and studded leather bracers around the wrist of each arm.
|Neutral||Jhala leaps into the air, performing an arcing upwards slash at the apex of the leap and following it immediately with a spinning horizontal slash, all in one smooth motion.||26.7 - 32.7 in 2 hits||While somewhat awkwardly positioned, this move makes up for its odd placement with its duration and striking power. It also serves as a useful way to raise your elevation in unexpected ways - a gravity cancel with this move can serve as a safe way to clear opponents lurking near the edge you're trying to get back to.|
|Mounting her weapon on her shoulder, Jhala recalls the power of a hovering fire-red dragon spirit before charging forward shoulder-first and delivering a single mighty sweep of the axe.||26.5 - 31.4 in 2 hits||This move includes the shoulder charge and thus continually hits everything in front. It has great reach as it carries Jhala forward a great distance, and it is an effective way of closing distances and hitting opponents who are far out in front.|
|↓||A double horizontal spin with the axe, starting from the front. This move moves Jhala forward slightly.||34.10 - 41.9 in 9 hits||This move comes out faster than her other signatures and many axe light moves, and so serves as a safe means of quickly attacking those who are nearby or, more likely, behind you. Be mindful of timing however - the attack does not attack both sides simultaneously, which can give opponents time enough to land an attack before your swing can get to their side. It also does significantly less damage when it hits someone behind Jhala.|
|Neutral||Jhala raises her sword straight up in the air, releasing gathered burning energies in an explosive burst from the tip.||22.9 - 27.5 in 14 hits||This attack is very particular in its placement, but hits for as long as Jhala has the sword up, making it a surprisingly long-lasting move, and also hits multiple times, making it forceful. It outranges most aerial approaches, though it only hits targets directly above Jhala, so lining up your shot is crucial.|
|A leaping forward lunge, with an "ox" style stab with the sword towards the opponent's chest, which terminates in a wreath of explosive fire.||27.4 - 32.7 in 1 hit||Like most side signatures, this move carries Jhala forward, though Jhala will not hit opponents who are standing directly in front of her. Jhala does cross the distance very quickly, and so this move can be used to strike the enemy first once you're familiar with the spacing.|
|↓||A low, two-hand horizontal sweep with the blade at leg/hip level. She takes a single step forward when you perform this move.||26.1 - 31.4 in 1 hit||This fast move strikes anything that is standing directly in front of Jhala. It's faster and shorter than her "ox" style attack, and should be considered the short-ranged partner her side sig when engaging in pitched melees.|

- Jhala's default weapons are the Barbarian Axe (axe) and the Barbarian Blade (sword).
- Jhala's bot name is JHALATRON.
- It is likely, judging by the names of her village and her sidekick, that if Jhala is from Earth, that she is nominally Central Asian, from somewhere around the Russian/Mongolian border. Lore and names aside, Jhala is a singular reference to Conan the Barbarian.
- Jhala's lore refers to the city Dragonport, which is also the name of an Ulgrim skin: Dragonport Ulgrim
- Dragonport is also referenced in Teros' lore as where the young minotaur spend some of his youth.
- Jhala's tribe, the Ikrusk, is mentioned in Nix's lore - the freelance reaper is offered jobs from the Ikruski God of Death and Volcanoes.

|3.5.0||Several Signature attacks have also been altered, such as Asuri’s Side Sword which has received a base stun increase for stronger hits at white to light yellow damage values. Given the total horizontal coverage and speed of Sentinel’s Down Katars, we have decreased the damage range to be closer to other similar attacks. Jhala’s Side Axe sees a shift in timing, trading some minimum charge time for a faster recover time, resulting in a overall duration for a quicker pace in battle.|
• Jhala Side Axe: Increased Minimum Charge time from 14 to 15; Decreased Recover time from 17 to 14.
|2.77.0||The following Signatures have all received adjustments to their speed bonuses gained when performed from a dash or chase dodge. They have been brought in line with other comparable Signature attacks:|
• Jhala Side Sword
• Jhala Side Axe
• Jhala Down Axe
|2.67.0||Jhala’s Down Sword is generally underused, due to its fairly low vertical and horizontal range. With a moderate recover time already built into the animation, we have slightly decreased the Recover time value for this Signature to shift the risk/reward more in its favor.|
• Jhala Down Sword: Decreased Recover time from 6 to 4.
|2.61.0||We have reduced the risk on Jhala’s Neutral Sword, as it is a lengthy anti-air similar to Barraza’s that can be overly punishable on miss due to its long overall duration.|
• Jhala Neutral Sword: Decreased Recovery Time from 16 Fixed to 14 Fixed.
|2.57.0||We’ve sped up Jhala’s Neutral Sword in a couple of ways in order to reach its normal threat faster and for more of its Hit Window.|
• Jhala Neutral Sword: Decreased Time to Hit from 16 to 15; Hitboxes bloom from the raised sword to the radial burst after 2 frames, sped up from 3.
|2.52.0||Increased travel speed to push the effective threat farther forward and make the Signature harder to outrun.|
• Jhala Side Sword – Increased travel speed before the first hit.
|2.50.0||While Jhala has some very useful Signatures, the Down Sword has less range and coverage than most other Signatures. We have increased the reward to better emphasize use of this powerful attack.|
• Jhala Down Sword: Increased Damage from 26 to 29; Increased Force from 51 Variable/68 Fixed to 52 Variable/68 Fixed.
|2.48.0||Jhala has been slightly underperforming in most tiers of play, so we are increasing her potential Damage to bring her up to par with other Legends.|
• Jhala Neutral Sword: Increased total Damage from 21 to 24.
|2.39.0||Jhala’s Down Sword has been made into a quicker option to compensate for its relatively small range. With the solid Damage and Force that this attack already commands, it can be a great option in close range or as a dodge punish.|
• Jhala Down Sword: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 10 to 8.
|2.18.0||We are giving Jhala’s Down Sword a slight increase in Damage to bring the appeal in line with other options of similar ranges.|
• Jhala Down Sword: Increased Damage from 24 to 26.
|2.14.0||• Jhala's bot name has been changed from “Jhalbot” to “Jhalatron.”|
|2.13.0||• New Legend: Jhala|
