Kor is a high defense, stone golem legend who uses the Gauntlets and Hammer as his weapons. He can be unlocked for 5400 gold. As a fully rock-based lifeform, Kor has no clothing or armour, but he sports a large alcove in his head's center, which glows with orange energy, acting as Kor's eye. The lack of any physical connection between torso and arm is effectively used in the eternal tournament, allowing Kor to extend his reach and grab opponents from a distance, to then throw them even further. Having a natural affinity with the world around him, he moves the very ground beneath his feet, using his naturally heavy weight and immense strength to fight in the eternal tournament.

The Boulder

Listen to the pathetic earthling: 'Ooh, Asgard's golems are sentient.' 'Ooh, they demand rights.' Well, who cares!!? - Lord Vraxx

Long ago, Elven sorcerers built a mighty army of golems. The Elven King marched the golem army against Asgard. Bodvar still cries when he remembers that he was not at the battle that ensued. The Elves were defeated and the Asgardians took the golems as spoils of war. They put the golems to work performing the menial labor of Asgard. But unknown to the Asgardians, the golems were sentient creatures and never forgot that they were made for battle.

Ten thousand years later, Sentinel, investigating the hidden places of the city, discovered secret golem fight clubs. In these arenas, the golems shed their quiet, biddable exterior and rekindled the terrifying ferocity of their warrior days.

And everywhere Sentinel heard whispers of the mighty Kor. Kor the Unvanquished, Kor the Destroyer, Kor the Magnificent. Kor, who all those years ago had led the golem charge right to the steps of Odin's palace and matched fists with Thor himself, was now the greatest golem fighter of them all.

Sentinel, political genius that he is, did not reveal himself, but simply left for Kor a hammer engraved with the Asgardian symbol for justice. Soon after, Kor the Golem entered the Grand Tournament wielding his mighty fists and the hammer. His victories inspire the movement for golem justice, though Kor also continues to enjoy his job as assistant platform mover in Blackguard Keep.

As a fully rock-based lifeform, Kor has no clothing or armor. Instead, the brown-beige columns and bricks that construct his body are covered by living, bright-green moss, which also creates a semblance of hair on his head. His cylindrical head is flanked by two thin horn-like rocks, and sports a large alcove in its center glowing with orange energy, which acts as Kor's eye. His torso is a stack of three cylindrical brick plinths, which increase in size from bottom to top. Most unique in Kor's appearance are his arms and legs, which are not connected to his torso but rather float independently, Rayman-style, through an unexplained and mystical force.

Signature Attacks

Neutral Kor magically launches his fist upward, grabbing an enemy, before bringing them back down and punching them with the other fist with incredible force. 27.8 - 33.3 Sends enemies forward and slightly downward. This move has great grabbing distance that can surprise many opponents.


Kor lunges a fair distance forward, grabbing the first enemy he comes in contact, spinning him around and hurling the victim ahead with great force. 27.4 - 33.3 Can KO very early compared to other signatures, and works well in combination with light attacks.
Kor smashes the ground with a powerful whack of the gauntlet, causing a miniature earthquake as shattered stones and boulders fly all around him. 21.2 - 25.6 Essentially an upgraded version of the already earth-shocking Gauntlets dLight. Very similar to Sentinel's Katar Down Signature in its range and style, or the landing phase of Gnash's Hammer Down Signature. Use accordingly, and exploit its range when possible.

Neutral Kor stomps the ground, lifting a boulder out of the soil, and then smashes it into pieces with his hammer, sending stone shards flying upwards – along with any unfortunates who just so happen to be in the way. 28.6 - 34.6 This move has a very large hitbox, and can hit enemies stacked directly on Kor or closely in front of him. A good bread-and-butter move. Its one-two nature can let you grab an enemy who is trying to spot-dodge to avoid being hit.


Kor holds his hammer behind himself and amasses a great boulder around the hammerhead before slamming it down in front of him. 27.7 - 33.3 Functionally similar to Bodvar's Hammer Side Signature, but has much more power and a smaller hitbox. Can be absolutely devastating when landed properly.
Kor transforms into a spherical boulder and rolls forward, crushing and pulling along any enemies that stand on his way, before bringing the hammer down to slam the foe for a final strike. Any foes caught and carried along by the roll will be thrown right under the hammerhead. 10.6-32.8 - 12.8-39.7 (depending on how much of the attack hits) Carries Kor a great distance forward, and can hit many enemies at once. Good for maneuvering and making unexpected strikes, although the space between the end of the roll and the hammer strike is safe from attack. Use it against the enemy who is recovering from a jump or a missed attack.

Although Kor does not have the slowness of some other armored Legends, his signatures strike very slugishly compared to the rest of his kit and stats, so in some ways he is more similar to Legends like Queen Nai than more versatile Legends such as Bodvar and Orion. This may seem like a downside, but remember this: he still has a fair amount of speed and dexterity for a slow, powerful character, and though his signatures may resemble those of a more cumbersome Legend, his weapons, particularly the Gauntlets, strike very quickly, so keep pounding your enemies until you can sneak in a signature to knock them out.

  • Kor's default weapons are The Boulders (gauntlets) and the Ground Pounder (hammer).
  • Kor's bot name is Korobot.
  • Kor is the first Legend to feature Gauntlets as part of his arsenal.
  • After Brynn and Ulgrim, Kor is the third figure from "behind the scenes" in Asgard to come forward to join the tournament.
  • Kor's Lore is the first to heavily feature another Legend, namely Sentinel.
  • Kor has moss on his head rocks that could probably be called hair, if you wanted to.
  • As a magical construct, Kor is the first entirely artificial Legend in the tournament. The second is Val, a futuristic cyborg.

3.3.0 We have increased the reward or responsiveness on several Signature attacks that have fallen behind other similar options, such as the speed of Thatch’s anti-air Neutral Sword and the Damage on some of Scarlet’s attacks. We have also updated some of Sidra’s attacks, as the Down Sword could rotate into follow-up attacks too quickly on miss, and the Side Cannon’s Damage has been reduced to compensate for its effectiveness at scoring knockouts.

2.68.0 We have shifted some power from Kor’s Neutral Hammer into his Down Hammer, due to Neutral Hammer’s fairly early knockout potential and great use as a followup from Hammer Down Light. The Down Hammer was previously unrewarding compared to its lengthy duration, so we have moderately increased the force for both the ground and air finish.
 • Kor Neutral Hammer: Decreased Force at the start of knockback from 55 Variable/60 Fixed to 52 Variable/60 Fixed.
 • Kor Down Hammer: Increased Force of final hit on the ground from 49 Variable/60 Fixed to 51 Variable/60 Fixed; Increased Force of final hit in the air from 46 Variable/53 Fixed to 48 Variable/54 Fixed.
2.39.0 Kor’s under-utilized Hammer Signatures have received faster Minimum Charge as they could be too difficult to use in a fast-paced battle.
 • Kor Down Hammer: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 8 to 6.
 • Kor Neutral Hammer: Decreased Minimum Charge time from 8 to 5.
2.38.0 Kor’s Down Hammer is one of the least used in his kit. This change should encourage more rocks n’ rolls from here forward.

2.33.0 Kor’s Down Gauntlet was seemingly unpunishable even when a player was prepared for it, so we are slightly increasing the recovery time.
 • Kor Down Gauntlet: Increased Fixed Recovery from 17 to 19.
2.18.0 We’ve rehitboxed Kor’s Neutral Hammer to better match the animation during the initial launch, resulting in some increased horizontal range for more reliable use.

2.17.0 We're holding off on making any major changes to the Gauntlets until they've settled some in the meta. From what we've seen, Kor's performing slightly better than anticipated at low levels of play, but performs at or slightly lower than expected after that. We’re going to continue keeping an eye on him as players continue to learn the matchup. For now, we've made a visual change to make it clearer when Kor's Side Gauntlets starts charging, and slightly decreased its Force.
 • Kor Side Gauntlets: Decreased Variable Impulse from 54 to 53; Changed the starting point of the charge animation to better telegraph the start of the power.
2.16.0 We’re very excited to be releasing Gauntlets and our new Legend Kor today! Gauntlets are a fast, close range, high speed, low damage weapon that lends itself well to players who prefer rushdowns and mixups. We’re really excited to see what the community will be able to do with this new weapon, (Post those GIFs!) and hope that everyone will have fun with this new addition the weapon arsenal of Brawlhalla.
