Mirage is a high-strength Egyptian style time-agent Legend featuring the Scythe and Spear as her weapons. She can be unlocked for 5400 gold. Mirage is dressed to match her Ancient Egyptian culture. She wears an elegant white headscarf and hood trimmed with gold, and an Egyptian Ankh hieroglyph is, along with six turquoise beads, strung around her head as a chaplet. Finding herself in Valhalla, a community of humans, monsters, aliens and mixtures of the above, Mirage feels very much at home after a life of travel and diversity, and equally brings this diversity of experience, magic and fighting skill to the tournament arena.

The Dune Weaver
“Scholars have long puzzled over why the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph for ‘badass’ is a combination of ‘magic’, ‘scythe’ and ‘woman’.” – Journal of Archaeology
In 1923, occultist, martial artist and spy Fatima Sabiq, codenamed agent Mirage, pursued the nefarious Professor Price back in time through a gate in the pyramid of Pharaoh Amenemhet the Great.
She assumed, as a magic-wielding time-traveler, she would be the strangest thing in Ancient Egypt. She was not even close. The Nile River Valley of 2000 BC was a nexus of magic, aliens, technology and living myth beyond the wildest speculations of her time.
She discovered Darkah, the city of assassins under the desert dunes, and was inducted into their mystic society. She learned from a forty-foot Sphinx the martial discipline called sand-weaving. She hitched a ride on a passing Zhaktari star cruiser, and stole the Scythe of Horus from a one-eyed alien. She slew the mad Pharaoh Eh'zath who called plagues of snakes from the sky. She learned the language of the Merfolk to better parley with the Atlantean ambassador. On ‘Bax’ her flying camel, she led the Panther People to victory over the slave caravans of the ram-headed god Khnum.
In Valhalla, she is at home amongst the strange collection of characters who battle in the highest ranks of the Great Tournament. She has been surprised to find old friends, enemies and even a target in the halls of glory.
“Of all the afterlifes, you had to walk into this one. What are you calling yourself these days?” – Mirage to Orion
Mirage, spending much of her mortal life in Ancient Egypt, is dressed to match the historical style. She wears an elegant white headscarf and hood that comes to a point over her blue eyes, holding her long dark hair to one side. The hood is trimmed with gold, and an Egyptian Ankh hieroglyph is, along with six turquoise beads, strung around her head as a chaplet. Her outfit of a white cloth chest piece, with sharp shoulder pads, and cloth wrapped around the hands, for grip, is all equally white in color, with a small golden cignalum and belt around her waist and dark grey trousers. The cignalum is beset with a circular gemstone in its center matching the turquoise beads on her head in color. Her trousers stop just below the knee, leaving bare lower legs and sandeled feet.
Scythe of the Sands
Spear of the Nile
|Neutral||Stepping forward as she charges the attack, Mirage single-handedly swings her scythe high, her legs and figure enveloped in shifting sands. If it hits and stuns the target, the attack turns out to be just a distraction: her figure that delivered the first strike falls apart in the wind as the real Mirage emerges from where she stood before the attack to deliver the second powerful blow.||As usual for Neutral signatures, this attack works great as an anti-air. It brings Mirage slightly forward from where she stands, but makes up for it with the speed of attack. Quite unexpectedly, this attack can hit an opponent standing directly in front of her, although the spacing must be quite precise.|
|Mirage transforms into a ball of shifting, shimmering sand, and flies forward quickly. As she reemerges, the sand-weaver strikes whatever’s ahead of her with a long swing of her trusty scythe.||Very similar to Ragnir's Forward Katar Signature, this attack allows you to close up the distance, reposition yourself and catch the enemy off-guard with your long strike. Compared to Ragnir’s signature, this one moves the character slower, but hits a bit further. Naturally, this attack will not catch anyone standing right next to Mirage; however, it can work wonders at finishing off an enemy that you’ve just stopped throwing around.|
|↓||Mirage disappears into the ground below her like sand into poor woodwork, and then re-emerges a split-second later, her curved blade eviscerating and launching upwards any hapless victim that happens to be nearby.||A quick riposte attack. Mirage’s hurtbox becomes smaller for a few rounds as she dives into the sands, allowing her to avoid certain fast attacks that go above the ground, while the swing covers a big circle around her. In a nutshell, this attack works somewhat like a faster and grounded Queen Nai's Neutral Katar Signature: big coverage, powerful, deadly.|
|Neutral||Shifting her form into a bullet of sand, Mirage runs quickly along the ground, stabbing upwards three times with her spear in the process before she leaps out ahead back in her human shape.||This Neutral Signature is both anti-air and anti-ground. It can be easily used to catch enemies landing on a large patch of ground, or strike the foes already standing there. The spears outreach any ground-pounds that a flying opponent can muster, which makes the attack very likely to hit. Although Mirage will not strike anyone at the end of her travel path, this isn’t too noticeable. However, this move is vulnerable to anything that's on the ground or follows the ground – be it simple light attacks, precise throws, or mines.|
|Mirage leaps up and forward, enveloped in sand; as she begins to land, she stabs at the hapless enemy with three spears at once – one her own, and two perfect replicas made of sand, as short-living as they are deadly. Any opponent struck with the spears is sent tumbling down through the semi-solid platform if they are standing on one.||A quick and far-reaching leaping attack that sends opponents flying down, very similar to Asuri's Neutral signatures. While the hitboxes last only as long as the sand spears, this attack is wide, strikes from a diagonal and outranges most counterattack measures a surprised enemy can use. Beware using it against a prepared opponent, however.|
|↓||Mirage stabs her spear into the ground under her feet, its tip enveloped in sand. A mere moment later, a hedge of spears thrusts from her feet, skewering any foes that got too close to the sand-weaver before they fall apart.||An excellent close-range bread-and-butter attack. While the spears are aimed to hit everywhere around Mirage, this signature is particularly far-reaching in the direction she’s facing (as far as 2 Legend widths away), which makes it useful when you just need to hit a nearby enemy very fast.|

Use of Signatures
Matchup strategy against specific Weapons
- To add strategy text for a Weapon when editing, simply add the name of the weapon after a "|" within the Template brackets on a new line, followed by " = " and then your text (ex: |Spear = Watch out for the ground pound!). If text already exists, use the existing field.
Matchup strategy against specific Legends
- To add strategy text for a Legend when editing, simply add the name of the Legend after a "|" within the Template brackets on a new line, followed by " = " and then your text (ex: |Cassidy = Watch out for her down sig!). If text already exists, use the existing field.
- For a breakdown of level requirements for colors by legend, see Progression. For Legend Skin color variations, see individual Skin pages, above.
- Mirage's default weapons are the Scythe of Sands (Scythe) and the Spear of the Nile (spear).
- Mirage's bot name is Mirandroid.
- Mirage was the first legend introduced to wield the Scythe.
- Mirage, being a time-traveller, has met many of Valhalla's disparate Legends, including Lord Vraxx, Azoth and Orion. In the case of Lord Vraxx and Azoth, the legends are not directly named.
- Mirage is one of the few Legends to know of Orion before he became Orion. Which part of Mirage's lore, if any, Orion corresponds to, is of course a mystery.
- Despite being an agent and spy, it is unclear who or what exact organization Mirage is an agent for.
- For changes that applied to weapons rather than individual Legends, see individual Weapon pages.
