Sailing the seas of adventure for glory and gold! - Mallhalla purchase description

The Corsair Queen

Release the Kraken! Seriously, Sidra. Let him go. You're hurting him. – Poseidon

Sidra and her monster crew ruled the Seas of There from the ice floes of Ikrusk to the Atlantean Gate. The Corsair Queen was legendary for her fearless raids, masterful skill with a cutlass, and a tough but fair approach to plank-walking.

In a daring attack on Poseidon's undersea realm, Sidra stole a giant diamond. The Eye of Charybdis, from under the beak of its guardian, The Great Kraken. She lost The Eye (along with a city and a ham sandwich) in a bar bet, but she remains cursed to forever be hunted by a vengeful and embarrassed kraken.

Ever resourceful, Sidra channels the kraken's relentless pursuit to punish her foes. She even allowed the Iron Admiral to capture her so she could laugh as the kraken smashed his fleet to splinters in search of her.

Sidra arrived Valhalla in the chaotic time before the Grand Tournament was created. She took one look around, commandeered a ship, recruited a crew, and resumed life as a pirate in her new home. This new Terror of the Asgardian Sea was the last straw for Odin, and he created the Grand Tournament in an attempt to channel the warlike drive of the Valhallans.

For now Sidra has been lured back to Valhalla by the wondrous prizes of the Tournament, specifically the gold. But her ship stands ready to sail in a secret cove. Teros was the first crewmonster Sidra recruited, and his loyalty to her is unshakable.

I need a second weapon? ...Ok, give me a cannon... Yes, a big one from a ship... You let me worry about that. – Sidra to Migli, weapon master of Valhalla

Signature Attacks

Input Description Damage Stun Frame Advantage Force Animation Frame Data (min) Notes
Stun (total) Stun (after hit) Variable Fixed Startup Frames Active Frames Recovery Frames
Neutral The Cannonball! Sidra aims diagonally and shoots her cannon with a lavishly decorated bomb that explodes in a small radius in a short while or when it hits anything. The cannonball always has the same attack range whether the attack was charged or not. Thatch’s Blaster Down Sig, but only a single cannonball and it has a small explosion radius. Still deadly, and can hit at very close range (though not stacked).

Sidra grins as another cannon pops from the floor (or empty air) under her feet, and then delivers a shattering one-two combo with the hidden cannon and the one she’s holding in her hands, sending the singed and stunned foe flying away. This attack can and absolutely will hit any opponents right in front (but not stacked), making it perfect for close range. The second attack goes quite a distance away, and may catch an unaware enemy with its edge. A good horizontal bread-and-butter move, though vulnerable from above.
“Want another one?” Sidra spots the Kraken’s tentacles swarming around her feet, then hops up into the air right when the trap closes and shoots the beast with the cannon. Too bad for anyone else who happens to be grabbed by the monster. A great evade-and-punish Signature with a good horizontal range at the initial stage. Highly vulnerable from the air if misses.

Input Description Damage Stun Frame Advantage Force Animation Frame Data (min) Notes
Stun (total) Stun (after hit) Variable Fixed Startup Frames Active Frames Recovery Frames
Neutral The Corsair Queen taunts the Kraken lurking just beneath her feet, then steps back as one of the beast’s tentacles lashes out right in front of her. If the ghastly appendage catches any unfortunate soul (who certainly isn’t Sidra), she slices at the victim (and the tentacle) with her cutlass, sending the foe flying away. Sidra’s close-range anti-air Signature that can also hit stacked opponents unless they dodge away. Has very short horizontal range, and best used in very close combat.

“Clever girl!” Sidra spots one of the Kraken’s smaller tentacle just behind her, then jumps up to dodge the horizontal whipping attack, then hits the tentacle with a wide downward slice. Woe be to any unfortunate foul who ends up grabbed by the tentacle’s attack and then cut by the Corsair Queen! Very long horizontal reach, and can be effective against spot-dodges thanks to the Sidra’s slash. Vulnerable from above.
“Anchors aweigh!” *CLANG* Sidra picks up an anchor and launches herself diagonally up into the air with a great slash of the cutlass, then stands on the anchor triumphantly as it drops down like a millstone and crushes everything on the way. Any enemy hit by the first attack are guaranteed to have the taste of the anchor. Sidra’s second anti-air that goes far and away diagonally: 2 Legend Heights up and 5-6 Legend Widths to the side – enough to cross a solid block of the Small Thundergard Stadium with one Sig! The anchor drop acts like a downward spike in the air or through a soft platform. Difficult to gauge, and can really mess up the enemy if they don’t react fast enough.

Build Changes
3.8.0 Several Signatures have received shifts in their risk vs. reward; notably some of the oft-seen staples like Ember Side Katars and Lucien Neutral Katars being reined in on their force and speed, respectively. Lesser used attacks like Ragnir Down Axe and Xull Side Cannon have received increases to their utility, enabling users to more effectively and safely use these Signatures.
 • Sidra Neutral Sword: Increased Damage from 22 to 24.
• Bug Fix: Sidra Down Sword: Fixed a bug that prevented the final active frames of the airborne version from striking opponents. (Credit: enterman234)
3.6.0 A number of Signatures for underperforming Legends have received increases to reward or benefits to their utility. Ada has received reward increases to bring them closer in line with similar options across the roster.
 • Sidra Neutral Cannon: Increased Damage from 21 to 23; Increased Force from 48 Fixed/50 Variable to 50 Fixed/53 Variable.
3.3.0 We have increased the reward or responsiveness on several Signature attacks that have fallen behind other similar options, such as the speed of Thatch’s anti-air Neutral Sword and the Damage on some of Scarlet’s attacks. We have also updated some of Sidra’s attacks, as the Down Sword could rotate into follow-up attacks too quickly on miss, and the Side Cannon’s Damage has been reduced to compensate for its effectiveness at scoring knockouts.
 • Sidra Down Sword: Increased total Recover time when landing on the ground from 21 to 29.
 • Sidra Side Cannon: Decreased base Damage from 28 to 25.
3.0.0 • Sidra the Corsair Queen is now available to play in Brawlhalla!
