Val is a fast and resilient awakened robotic AI legend who uses the Sword and Gauntlets as her weapons. She can be unlocked for 5400 gold. A fully synthetic being, Val's body is encased a high-tech, armored cyber-bodysuit, with a shining sky-blue energy core visible in the center of her chest piece. Her face in particular belies her synthetic nature, from the MBFC logo stamped into her forehead to her pure black eyes with white pupils. Val cares little for who notices, however, as her artificially enhanced speed, reflexes and perception along with a body modified for combat grant her a definitive edge in showing her strength in the eternal tournament.

When MBFC Automaton Lab's VAL Project 701 became conscious, nobody knew. Not the engineers, not the ops team, not the GovernCorp generals who deployed the assassin. Val herself hardly knew. And like a child, she grew, becoming capable of free will, courage, goodness, and evil. She mostly chose evil.
With terrifying strength and quicker-than-light cognition, Val did whatever she wanted. She infiltrated the Right Wrong Cavaliers as a techno-ninja bassist after their original bassist fell down a ladder. She served the discontinuance needs of all sides in the wars of the Five Algorithmic Houses, and anyone she served, she soon owned.
By the time she was running Miami, MBFC realized that all of their networks now routed through and reported to Val. In an act of corporate face-saving, they announced the promotion she'd already given herself. On the side, she founded RainCloud, a modeling agency that soon controlled all neural research. She got really into talk radio for a while.
When the end came, Val was surprised to find that Valhalla is a thing, but now she is at work solving it. In the meantime, Val and Brynn enjoy kung-fu movies and making fun of Orion's mysterious cool-guy act.

A fully synthetic being, Val's body is encased a high-tech, armored cyber-bodysuit, which is largely platinum white. Bits of navy padding can be seen poking out here and there under the suit, and a shining sky-blue energy core is visible in the center of her chest piece, which correlates with the sky blue circles at each ankle. The only skin left exposed is that of her face, ears and fingers, although some question whether her skin is as artificial as the armor surrounding it. Her face in particular reveals her synthetic nature, due to her short, platinum-white hair, the presence of an MBFC logo imprinted on her forehead, and noticeably synthetic eyes, which are a deep black with white emotionless pupils.

|Neutral||A lightning-fast leaping slice at a high upwards diagonal that carries Val through any target hit. Hitting a target causes Val to turn around and deliver a rapid follow up strike in a perpendicular direction at the struck target, sending them ultimately at an upwards diagonal behind her.||The move hits very quickly compared to most other neutral signatures.|
|Val performs a short forward-flipping salto with a stunning kick, and follows it up with lightning-fast sword strike. The follow-up attack depends on whether she collides with any horizontal/vertical surfaces during the flip.
Landing on the ground: Val dashes far forward and delivers a swift horizontal strike with the sword.
Touching a vertical surface: Val bounces off the wall directly upwards as she strikes up against any enemy trying to ground-pound her.
In the air: Val immediately follows up the leg kick with a wide sweep of the sword down and ahead of her.
|The roll and dash both carry Val forward a short distance before hitting, leading to slightly awkward placement. This move does not hit targets immediately in front of or next to Val. It's worth noting again that this move performs differently depending on where it's used - on the ground (dash), in the air (downward finisher that excels in ledge guarding), and in the air into a wall (good against ledge-guarding ground pounds).|
|↓||Val sweeps her sword in a low semi-circle on the ground in front of her, tucking it into an electrified windmill kick that strikes behind and then in front in extremely quick succession. Striking a target with any of these three attacks pulls the target in, hitting them with any following attacks, and results in an extra spin in the windmill, this time with the sword extended to spin in a low, wide full circle on the ground around her, hitting the caught target and any targets a short distance in front and behind.||A move with deceptively short range. Its long execution time on hit is balanced by its wider follow-up strikes, making it safer to use in group matches than other moves that have long execution times on hit. Be careful when using it in 1v1 matches if you want to deal more damage than you would receive on a miss.|

|Neutral||Val sweeps her gauntlets off her hands, electrically hovering them behind her before sweeping them up into a leaping extended-range spinning double-uppercut before slamming them back down into the ground a short distance in front of where she leaped from, causing a short-ranged electrical detonation on impact, throwing victims forward. Targets struck by the initial uppercut are grabbed and hit by all attacks of the signature. If there is no ground underneath her when the gauntlets are slammed down, the move instead carries a little further down and throws struck opponents downwards instead.||Somewhat resembles Asuri's katars neutral sig, but with a guaranteed follow-through regardless of whether the move hits or misses, and differently placed hurtboxes. The final electrical detonation is good against unsuspecting opponents and can be used to force some distance between yourself and the foe.|
|Val performs an elecrified charge forward headfirst, propelled by her foot rockets, and ends the charge with a forward palm-strike with the rear gauntlet, exploding with electrical energy. Any targets caught by the initial headfirst charge are stunned, carried along for the length of the charge, and struck by the electrical detonation.||Functions similarly in timing to Orion's spear Side Sig, though with a full follow-through in every execution rather than stopping at the first target struck. The detonation has some range to it, which may catch enemies off guard.|
|↓||Val manifests a massive hard-light shuriken in her forward gauntlet, then leaps back and up into the air before throwing it into the ground a moderate distance ahead of where she was initially standing. If the shuriken strikes anyone, Val immediately drops to the ground, dashes forward and delivers a crushing uppercut with the rear gauntlet, hurling targets into the air diagonally upwards.||The initial shuriken throw is very similar to Queen Nai's spear Down Signature, but with a shorter range. The followup strike makes this move unique.|

- Val's default weapons are the Hardlight Blade (sword) and the Resonators (gauntlets).
- Val's bot name is Val 9000.
- Val's sword down-sig is a modified version of the original default down-sig for all sword users during Closed Beta, before Legends all got unique signature moves.
- Val was created by the MBFC, a corporation with deep ties to the backstories of Ada and Barraza, though any interactions are thus far undocumented.
- It is highly plausible that that Val perished when the computer-killing nanobot cloud released by MBFC and brought about Barraza's future came to being.
